The Sarkatts are a mysterious and warlike civilisation bound by a code of honour. They live in sector P-6, among many semi-nomadic peoples. The Sarkatts never take off their hoods and are superb soldiers.
Among the Sarkatts harshness goes hand in hand with a number of customs — for example, a ban on shooting the unarmed and the weak.
If a Sarkatt meets an enemy dying of thirst in the desert, he will without fail give him water and food. Only once the enemy has left his home may the Sarkatt do him any harm.
Sarkatt hunters of Zikkator lions wore the lion's teeth on their belts; the teeth held great ritual significance for the Sarkatts. Hunters traditionally enjoyed great respect and often led the tribes.
Sarkatt soldiers wear ceremonial armour that was often used in real combat too, and carry the single-shot rifle usual for them.
A Sarkatt is always hidden beneath a hood; only an elongated head with a long face can be seen.
