Physiologically, the Kiorns are close to avian creatures. However, they are viviparous, which sets them apart from typical feathered species and came as a surprise to many races that made contact with them.
Duels and affairs of honor are an inseparable part of Kiorn culture. Other countries have repeatedly tried to curb this tradition, but the Kiorns stubbornly preserve it, seeing in it an important element of their self-identity and their social order.
The Kiorns are known as a warlike, hot-tempered race with a poor reputation. Notably, however, internal disagreements within Kiorn society are often far fiercer than their conflicts with other races. Because of this, when living in the states of other peoples, the Kiorns as a rule do not display their aggression and cruelty.
Despite their belligerence, the Kiorns are considered fairly advanced scholars. Science has achieved significant development in their countries.
