The Aksyots are an insectoid race. They carry a rather scornful nickname — "clay worms" — for their custom of living in giant structures made of clay.
The Aksyots belong to the insectoid world, alongside the Pautari, Eyzakers, Sengi, Ratakans, Raveis and other races. It is a world with its own rules: Ravei hives pay in tor eggs, in Eyzaker sectors the main currency is food, and the Tskaratu and Ukapau act as go-betweens in trade with humanoids.
There is no Underworld here in the usual sense; the closest thing to it is the Insvamy — secretive apex predators who profit from the endless feuds between the rulers of the insectoid world.
The illustration shows an Aksyot against its clay structures, which look like enormous anthills. Its long, segmented purple body stands on many turquoise legs. Its head bears red eyes with yellow growths on either side, several dark grasping limbs sprout from the front of its body, and a black curved tail rises behind it.
